Microsoft Office Courses

Word Introduction
This introductory course is ideal for anyone who is unfamiliar with Word or who would like to make better use of their knowledge of the application. Beginning with creating, saving, and printing, you will learn the basic features of Word, such as editing a document, formatting text, and moving and copying text. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to create memorandums, letters, or basic reports.

Word Intermediate
Building upon the skills from the introduction workshop, you will learn to improve the appearance and readability of word processing documents. The Intermediate workshop focuses on how to create columns and tables, to add bulleted or numbered lists, and to print envelopes and labels. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to create a column document that includes a table and bulleted list.

Word Advanced
Round out your word processing skills in the Word Advanced workshop. You will create and manage the Mail Merge feature of a word processing document, view and customize the toolbar, and insert graphics. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to create a data source, a form letter, and then merge a data source.

Publisher Introduction
This course will give you the basics to design and create publications in the form of newsletters, flyers, brochures, and advertisements. In the Introduction workshop, you will insert text and objects, import text files, and apply color schemes. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to create a newsletter and a certificate.

Publisher Intermediate
The Publisher Intermediate workshop provides you with the skills to enhance the design of a publication. During the workshop, you will format, group, overlap, and reposition objects, insert borders, insert and edit a table, use layout guides, and enter personal information sets. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to create a layout guide, wrap text in a frame, and insert and reposition a graphic around text.

PowerPoint Introduction
PowerPoint is the ideal application for creating professional and innovative slide show presentations. In the introduction workshop, you will use the slide layout and Design Template, insert text and graphics, apply custom animation and slide transitions, and print and save presentations. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to create a slide presentation from a basic outline.

PowerPoint Intermediate
Go beyond PowerPoint basics and learn how to enhance the style, composition, and delivery of your slide show. In the Intermediate workshop, you will create, modify, group, rotate and align objects, create charts and tables, define the slide color scheme, and duplicate slides. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to design an effective, professional and appealing slide show presentation.

FrontPage Introduction
The FrontPage Introduction course will start you on your way to creating, managing, and publishing an impressive web page. In the Introduction workshop, you will format and align text, apply a background color and theme, insert graphics, hyperlinks, tables, date and time stamps, and marquees. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to create web pages for a web site.

Excel Introduction
This course is designed to get you up and running with Excel, one of the most popular spreadsheet application used today, quickly and easily. You will learn to perform mathematical, financial, and statistical calculations in a spreadsheet. During the workshop, you will create, modify, format, and print worksheets. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to create and format a basic spreadsheet with calculations.

Excel Intermediate
Extend your knowledge of the features and functions within Excel including entering formulas and functions. In the Intermediate workshop, you will execute simple and complex formulas, use excel as a database, and review the page setup functions for printing. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to readily use the Paste, Date, and If Functions for data in a worksheet.

Excel Advanced
Take your Excel skills to the next level in the Advanced workshop. Master creating and modifying Charts based on worksheet data are just some of the tasks you will learn. In the Advanced workshop, you will chart data, customize the chart, enhance your worksheet with graphics and text boxes, perform a vertical lookup function, work with a one-variable table, audit a worksheet, and use additional functions. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to evaluate and analyze data based on specified criteria, and calculate loan payments.

Access Introduction
Learn the fundamentals of Access, a powerful data management application, as you take part in this workshop. Beginning with storing and organizing information in sets of tables, you will learn to plan, create and design a table for a database, enter, edit and sort data, and create, edit and run queries. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to create a table, enter the data into the table, and create a report of the table.

Access Intermediate
Take full advantage of one of the most efficient and powerful information management computer applications. This workshop will give you the skills to improve the quality and functionality of a database. In the Intermediate workshop, you will insert Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) objects, establish relationships between tables, manage queries, and, create and customize forms. Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to insert OLE objects, create and manage queries, and create and format forms.

eSchoolPlus Courses

eSchoolPlus Student Registration Course
In this course, you will review the process to register new or transferred students into the eSchoolPlus Student Information System. Some of the tasks you will master include entering a student into the system, entering and updating the student’s demographics, contacts, homeroom and grade, and withdrawing a student. Upon completion of this course, you will have the necessary skills to enter and update a student in eSchoolPlus.

eSchoolPlus Attendance Course
Review the process to enter student attendance into the eSchoolPlus Student Information System. In this course, you will learn to enter and maintain student attendance as Office Personnel, and view how to enter attendance as a Teacher. Upon completion of this course, you are able to enter and maintain student attendance, and produce attendance reports.

eSchoolPlus Advanced Search & Impromptu Web Reports (IWR) Course
Create and design reports of specific students based on criteria defined in the eSchoolPlus Student Information System. In this course, you will learn to create a custom search, to define criteria and filters to generate student reports, and to display preferred data. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to generate and produce student reports, and you are able to access the Impromptu Web Reports.

eSchoolPlus Discipline Course
Enter student discipline incidents in eSchoolPlus Student Information System. In this course, you will review how to enter incident details and summary information for the offender, victim and witness. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to enter incidents tracking the motivation, actions, charges and convictions. Course instructions follow the guidelines for state reporting of criminal and Department of Education (DOE) offenses.

eSchoolPlus Overview
Whether as an introduction or a refresher course, you will benefit from a clear and concise overview of the eSchoolPlus basics. This course highlights the Student Center, Scheduling Center, Attendance Center, Mark Reporting Center, Discipline Center, Student Search, and Cognos Impromptu Web Reports (IWR). (Please Note: For the Elementary Schools all Centers will be discussed with exception to the Mark Reporting Center instead, the DSC Web Application Elementary Grade Reporting will be discussed.)
